The Village of Springville offers a variety of top-notch general and specialty healthcare options, many of which are within walking distance for residents. For a small community, Springville’s health and medical professionals appreciate the value of providing access to quality, local healthcare for their neighbors and families.
Hospitals and Physicians
Bertrand Chaffee Hospital serves as a regional healthcare facility, and includes a 24/7 emergency department, a 24-bed inpatient care floor with surgical suites, and physical therapy, laboratory and imaging services. It also operates a Primary Care Center and a Heart Center, and is connected to the Jennie B. Richmond Nursing Home.
The Village is also home to Springville Pediatrics, a veterans’ healthcare facility, and physicians’ groups that include specialists for ob/gyn, urology, orthopedics and gastroenterology.
The Village of Springville and the surrounding areas are fortunate to have volunteer emergency medical technicians as part of fire and rescue response crews. Because of Springville’s central location for many southern tier communities, Bertrand Chaffee Hospital is the site of a landing pad for Mercy Flight, a regionally recognized medical transport service.
There are two long-term nursing care facilities within the Village: Jennie B. Richmond Nursing Home and Fiddlers Green Manor. The Jennie B. also provides seven-day-a-week short-term rehab services.
Other Health Care Services
There are several established dental and orthodontic practices within the Village of Springville limits, as well as eye care professionals, including ophthalmologists and opticians. The area also includes chiropractic care providers, mental health counselors and therapists, and multiple pharmacy locations.
For residents who need assistance with transportation to medical appointments, there are several van-transport options with minimal or no cost.
